Customer Reviews

I'd previously owned another pair of DC Shoes in a different style, and they were the most comfortable sneakers I'd ever worn. I loved them so much I kept wearing them until I'd literally worn holes in the soles.
Unfortunately, it seems current styles do not use the same measurements. These shoes were longer than my old ones, and a bit narrower, but still seemed to fit acceptably when I tried them on (with socks, at the end of the day), so I kept them. This turned out to be a mistake. After wearing them for a few hours (I walk about a mile to the bus stop in the morning, and then work on my feet all day) the forefoot was definitely too narrow. If other current DC styles fit you well, these may be fine, but if you've only worn older styles, be careful.
These shoes are also very noisy. The square shape of the heel where it joins the sole lets lots of air to whoosh around under your heel when you walk; it's bad enough when your feet are dry, but in the rain it sounds rather like someone trying to make fart sounds with their armpit. Also, the soles seem to be a bit harder than your typical rubber shoe soles, and are fairly loud on sidewalks and other hard surfaces. Several times I caught myself altering my gait in an attempt to make less noise. I've never worn (or heard anyone else wearing) such noisy sneakers. They may have gotten quieter if I'd worn them more than once, but I don't plan to find out.
Bottom line: I wish I could return these, but since they have touched something other than indoor carpeting, I'm stuck with them. They'll probably end up being donated to a thrift store.

This shoe fits half a size or so big. I had too much space in the toe box and my heel kept slipping out. Cute and squishy, but too large.
